Yarramalong Arabica Coffee was established with the planting of the first crop in April 1998. The main type of coffee grown on the farm is from the K7 Arabica stock. Presently, I am experimenting with a different type of plant that should react well with the harsh, dry conditions and add a special taste to the existing blend. All plants are grown herbicide free and fertilised with an all-natural product. Beans are selectively hand picked usually during the months of July and August, and after washing and sorting are placed on racks to be sun dried. The farmer who grew the coffee does all roasting, grinding and packaging here on the farm, and so the quality of the product is assured. Yarramalong Arabica Coffee is a ‘boutique’ product grown in the Hinterland of the Gold Coast.
In 2004 we introduced chocolate-coated coffee beans to our product list. Our finely roasted beans are coated with a European style chocolate and are ready to ‘crunch’ on anytime, anywhere.
